Modern technology, namely, our cell phones, give us a new angle on the world around us. We see with new eyes. We look at a dish and find curves and colors we had not noticed before. It is as though objects have become landscapes to explore. We step right in. We can barely resist. Take this photo of a pizza taking shape on the peel, for example. It is almost like watching a field being sown with layer upon layer of vegetation. We think evolution takes us further and further from nature, yet in everything we do there is that incessant repetition of movement, grace and color that shapes nature’s very landscape and moods. Maybe technology is actually allowing us to reconnect in deep, yet unforeseen ways.
